The frequencies of particular, periodic band-saw, transverse-vibration solutions, denoted here as natural frequencies, are determined both theoretically and experimentally. Three simple, approximate natural-frequency analyses are presented; the approximate natural frequencies are compared to the exact and to experimental values for a particular table-model band saw.
