The purpose of this study is the understanding of the mechanical behavior of a threaded tubing connection made out of composite materials. The threaded tubing connection has been calculated under several loading cases which simulate the real functioning of the structure. A failure mechanism and design criteria have been established. Some suggestions for the improvement of the connection are also given.
