The basic design concepts of laminar digital logic elements using proportional amplifiers (LPA’s) with feekback are discussed. By using a decoupling amplifier, the input and output of these elements can be decoupled so that the switching threshold is independent of the output loading. Test results and theoretical predictions indicate that laminar digital logic elements with good performance characteristics can be designed by using LPA’s with feedback.
