By means of the obtained explicit expressions of dynamic forces acting on a rotor partially filled with a viscous liquid, the equations of motion are derived. The corresponding eigenvalue problem is solved accurately in correcting to the first order of magnitude of Dynamic stability of the rotor is studied in detail and some valuable results are obtained. We can regulate the stable interval so long as we properly choose the value of external damping.
